Right on, brother Edward~ thank you for speaking the truth. As an Afrikan woman living in Oakland, CA, and on a new road of working with our youth, your words voice the truth of the reality that we face everyday.

That quote from Dr. King is so powerful, and so truthful. Training is often the road to nowhere, and it is just another part of the whole dysfunctional system that is designed to maintain the racist status quo - not designed to help, engage, provide true and sustainable jobs and avenues for employment.

We have to be new, now. We have to look at what is happening before us with eyes that really see from the heart, and be willing to do the work that must be done.

With peace and gratitude...
